Awards for European Reference Sites at Brussels summit 2016.
The Second European Summit on Digital Innovation for Active and Healthy Ageing was held in Brussels from 5th to 8th December 2016.
All European Reference Sites , which were granted the title of ‘Reference Sites of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing’ last year, were also presented with awards during the ceremony.
The Medical University of Lodz, which is both partner and a leader of the Lodz Province Reference Site, was represented in Brussels by Witold Stepien – the Marshal of Lodz Province and Prof Lucyna Wozniak – Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations.
The European Summit is the biggest and most significant event dedicated to the demographic changes and innovation for active and healthy ageing. Hence, the invitees included the representatives from Japan, USA and Canada, as well as World Health Organisation and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.
