MUL PhD student receives JDRF-ISPAD Research Fellowship award!
Every year the largest organisation of scientists engaged in research into diabetes in children and adolescents – The International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) in cooperation with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (IDRF), an American charitable organisation which sponsors research into type 1 diabetes, award 4 prestigious scientific grants: ISDAP-JDRF Research Fellowship. We are pleased to announce that this year’s award went to dr Beata Małachowska, prof. Wojciech Fendler’s PhD student at the Department of Biostatics and Translational Medicine. The project Lysophosphatidic acid in pathogenesis of HNF1B-MODY syndrome – the role of kidney and adipose tissue was presented at 17th ISPAD School of Physicians and then recommended for the award by the organisation committee.
