19^th October saw a new opening of the Sports Centre of the Medical University of Lodz at   71 6-go Sierpnia Str.  On completion of the first stage of the redevelopment of its location, Physical Education and Sports Department of MUL changed its name and logotype.

The renovation works in 2017 included among other things, new LED lighting, bathroom modernisation, windows replacement and gym redecoration. The changing room was replaced with self-service lockers. The modernisation will definitely increase the Centre operational efficiency, which means the reduction of  the building maintenance cost.

The University is planning further investment which will involve redevelopment of the sports hall and the swimming pool. The next two years’ plan involves upgrading the physical education, creating sports base for AZS, the facility adaptation for the disabled as well as promotion of physical activity among both our employees and students.
