ŁUKASZ OLEWNIK MD PhD WINS MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR OUTSTANDING YOUNG SCIENTISTS
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education announced the list of outstanding young scientists with the record of impressive scientific achievements who will be awarded with 3-year scholarships. The list of 215 winners in the 17th competition includes Łukasz Hubert Olewnik, MD PhD, prof. of MUL.
The accomplishments which have been considered in the competition included, among others: the management of a highly-innovative research project funded within a national or international call; a minimum 3-month international internship completed in a prestigious research centre; received international scholarships; authorship or co-authorship of a scientific monograph or a chapter in a monograph published by the publishing house which, as of the date of the ultimate version publication, was included in the list of scored publications; authorship or co-authorship of a scientific paper published in a scientific journal or international conference reviewed materials which, as of the date of the paper publishing, were included in the list of scored journals and materials.
Łukasz Olewnik MD PhD is the head of the Department of Anatomical Dissection and Donation, Medical University of Lodz. For years he has been conducting research into morphological variations in the human body and their clinical implications. He defended his PhD dissertation in 2017 and 3 years later he obtained doctor habilitowany degree. He kept developing his scientific passion during international internships and collaboration. He has always been willing to share his knowledge and experience. He is a scientific supervisor of the Student Scientific Club of Clinical Anatomy and also oversees the development of many a student at the faculty of medicine, which has been reflected by his multiple successes.
