On 9-16 May 2017 an academic mission to The People’s Republic of China was organized in cooperation with Lodz City Council, Lodz academies and Consulate General in Chengdu and Canton. MUL was represented by prof. Lucyna Woźniak,  Vice-Rector for Science and International Relations.

Krzysztof Piątkowski, Vice President of Lodz and the representatives of Lodz academies i.e. University of Lodz, Lodz University of Technology, Lodz Academy of Art, University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz, were also participants of the mission.

The mission involved numerous meetings and presentations of academic schools in Lodz. Prof. Lucyna Woźniak described MUL educational offer as well as MUL research projects with an emphasis on active and healthy ageing and managed healthcare.

The delegation took part in the Innovation Forum of International Sister Cities of Chengdu and in the academic seminar at Sichuan University. The representatives of Lodz academic schools had an opportunity to describe their educational offers to Dawan High School students and to promote Lodz academic profile in Canton (Guangzhou). Their visit to Canton involved a series of meetings at schools of higher education i.e. Jinan University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Shenzhen University, Shenzhen Science & Industry Park Corporation.
