COOPERATION WITH PODDĘBICE WITHIN EUROPEAN INNOVATION PARTNERSHIP ON ACTIVE AND HEALTHY AGEING
On 2 July 2021, a letter of intent regarding the cooperation of MUL and Poddębice in projects, solutions amd innovation for active and healthy ageing was oficially signed in the Centre for Integration and Meeting of People with Disabilities in Poddębice. The document was signed by Prof. Lucyna Woźniak PhD ScD, Vice-Rector for Research Strategy and International Relations, Medical University of Lodz and Piotr Sęczkowski, the Mayor of Poddębice. The Cooperation within the framework of European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) was thereby initiated.
EIP on AHA is the initiative launched by the European Commission to foster cooperation between countries, regions, academic centres, entrepreneurs, healthcare and scocial services as well as authorities to improve the health status and the quality of life of the elderly and to increase their engagement in social life. The partnership’s policy platform involves the exchange of information and good practice, jointly prepared analyses, sharing resources and any other activities to implement pro-senior initiatives in Poddębice and its region with the use of valuable research and development potential of MUL.
The participants of the event also included: Prof. Jolanta Kujawa MD, PhD, the Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences; Jacek Grabowski, MUL Chancellor, Cezary Lipiński, Deputy Director of Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer; Aneta Andrzejczyk, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Science, Strategy and Development; Tomasz Kopiec, MUL Chancellor’s Plenipotentiary for senioral policy; Piotr Pusty, Vice-President of Activation System for Seniors Fund; Witold Stępień, Marshal of the Province of Lodz, tems: 2010-2014 and 2014-2018; employees of Poddębice Town Hall and local entrepreneurs.
