On Friday, 6^th October 2017 the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer hosted a unique meeting. #FORGEOFTALENTS attracted: 24 start-ups, representing the fields of MedTech, BioMed, IT or LifeStyle, 12 investors (private investors, investment funds, technology transfer centres, regional chambers of commerce)

It was the first initiative of the kind which was organised by Medical University of Lodz. It provided the opportunity for start-ups to introduce themselves to the invited guests during a closed-group meeting, with 1 slide, 3-minute presentation and 2 minutes for answering the investors’ questions. The startup companies competed for financial prizes for further development of their innovative concepts.

The prizewinners list:

1. MediF Group, EXOCO, Ragnarök LAB, each member receiving 3 000 EUR for the company development,  the prize sponsored by EIT Health,
2. GeneaMed – the start-up obtained incubation in MUL Enterpreneurship Incubator, mentoring, and participation in II+ contest which offers a chance of winning PLN 100 000 for pre-implementation activities.
3. LAPARO, Natural Cell Therapy – received mentoring and incubation in MUL Enterpreneurship Incubator,
