GATEKEEPER PROJECT – Twinning with the University of Pecs
On April 21, 2023, the Medical University of Lodz hosted a group of scientists and PhD students from the Center for Health Technology Assessment of the University of Pecs in Hungary. The visit was part of the TWINNING program, the winners of which were the GATEKEEPER Polish project team.
The visit was aimed at exchanging experiences and enabling the employees of both universities to learn about the differences regarding the implementation of new medical technologies in both countries. The result of the cooperation will be the implementation of the Hungarian version of the Moje Zdrowie application, which was created by scientists in the GATEKEEPER project, and a series of events disseminating this project at the University of Pecs.
The delegation consisted of four employees of the University of Pecs and four members of the project at the Medical University of Lodz. Representatives of the Medical University prepared a rich program that included a visit to the campus, lectures and meetings. Employees of the Medical University of Lodz invited guests to visit the Medical Simulation Center, where simulations of surgical procedures were held. Guests from Hungary had the opportunity to see how lecturers and students of the Medical University work in conditions close to real, using the most modern medical equipment.
The visit began with a gala dinner, during which both sides discussed the possibilities of further cooperation. The visit was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and establish contacts between both universities.
