On Monday, 3rd October 2016 an induction day took place at Didactic Centre of MUL. Large numbers of ‘Freshers’ were welcomed by Prof Janusz PIekarski – Vice-Rector for Organisational and Student Affairs, Prof Tomasz Kostka – Vice-Rector for Teaching as well as heads of faculties and student reps.

The day was a perfect opportunity to complete an enrolment process, get familiar with university grounds, collect student IDs, etc. All in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff and students from higher years were available to answer any queries with regard to bursaries, scholarships, exchange programmes and most importantly – were sharing those invaluable student life tips!

It was also an excellent opportunity to get to know other fellow students.

Numerous attractions and competitions provided great entertainment alongside food trucks, DJs and a photo booth. Academic and student associations presented their programmes – those included: Students Union, Graduates Union, AZS UMED, PTSS, IFMSA, STN, IAESTE, Young Pharmacy (Mloda Farmacja), university choir and UMED Coolinary.

Relax corner set up by AZS and Student Gateway proved by far the most popular.

The event was organised in cooperation with “Young in Lodz Programme” (Mlodzi w Lodzi), MPK Sp. z o.o., PZU and Medical University of Lodz Foundation.
