MOLecoLAB is the top-grade complex of research and development laboratories designed to facilitate support for research commercialisation and R&D activities of MUL.

The new infrastructure is a complementary complex of the already operating resources of our university.

The project was initiated in December 2018 within the Regional Operational Program (ROP) for Lodzkie for the period 2014-2020, Research, Development and Knowledge Commercialisation, Development of Research and Innovation Infrastructure. The project budget amounted to PLN 75 million PLN, including 41.6 million from ROP.

MOLecoLAB has been designed as a complex of laboratory modules divided according to their functions:

Laboratory module of  civilisation diseases,

Laboratory module for the Assessment of Medication Safety and Effectiveness,

Laboratory for Analysis of Biomedical Materials,

Laboratory of Medical Technologies Clean Room,

Living LAB .

The aim of the initiative includes further consolidation of MUL R+D potential and creation of further opportunities to conduct interdisciplinary research.

Another great asset of the project involves the technologies used in its design: they are both environmentally friendly and they can help towards reduction of building operation costs.

The project is consistent with MUL’s policy of sustainable development which has been deployed for several years now.

MOLecoLAB laboratories will be used for research and development initiatives focused, among others, on innovations in products design and in diagnostic and therapeutical services but also on the University collaboration with industry at the national as well as international levels.

Having visited MOLecoLAB premises, the guests were given a chance to visit the nearby MediHUB entrepreneurship incubator, MediHUB.

The first contract for research to be carried out in MOLecoLAB was also signed with Gosławice Ltd. Fish Farm.

The perfomance given by Nastrojeni band was the artistic element of the ceremony.
