MUL ENGAGED IN SEED FUND ALLIANCE4LIFE_ACTIONS
The medical University of Lodz (the leader) in partnership with the Medical University in Sofia (Bulgaria) and the University in Tartu (Estonia) are involved in joint implementation of the project within Seed Fund Alliance4Life_ACTIONS (https://alliance4life.ceitec.cz/), whose aim is to design a handbook on the interplay between environmental pollution and the reginal incidence of diseases as a health-promoting tool.
According to the European Green Deal, human-made environmental pollution is an increasing threat to our health and lives. In 2018 it was noted that environmental pollution accounted for approximately 16% of all deaths worldwide. It is estimated that over 7 million people die annually as a result of exposure to polluted air i.e. particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide and ozone.
The pilot study was carried out using a diagnostic survey questionnaire appropriately adapted to cultural conditions and translated, i.e. the General Scale of Ecological Behaviour and the Questionnaire of Environmental Problems and Climate Change.
