MUL representatives’ success in L’Oreal Poland for Women in Science Programme
We are pleased to inform that Katarzyna Gach-Janczak, PhD from the Department of Biomolecular Chemistry and Agata Jarmuz, medicine student, became the laureates of the 16th Edition of the L’Oreal Poland for Women in Science Programme.
The jury, for the first time in its history, awarded the undergraduate student, showing an appreciation for her keenness to get involved in the research at such early stages of her education.
The Award Ceremony took place on 24th November 2016 in Warsaw. Gala gathered personalities form the world of science, business and politics.
Jury, led by Prof dr hab. Ewa Łojkowska, included scientists from a variety of speciality fields. It awarded scholarships to women who conduct research in a broadly-defined life sciences, i.e. medicine, biology, biotechnology, etc.
The Programme, organised in cooperation with the Polish Committee for UNESCO and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
In addition to scholarships , the programme also gives the laureates an opportunity to showcase their scientific achievements on a wider scale.
